Lunch at No35
The newly hatted restaurant headed by ex-Botanical chef Stuart McVeigh has turned heads all over Melbourne. The venue and atmosphere is to put quite simply, amazing, and the current lunch deal really gives a bang for your buck.
I won’t spoil the suprise by showing you the view, but a lot of people do have the presumption that such a restaurant, 35 floors up in the Sofitel hotel would be...
Cheap eats for the hungry hungry student.
I think these three places in Melbourne really highlight the range of cheap eateries available. All very delicious.
Port Phillip Arcade (Kim Sing)
Across from Flinders St, on one of the most infamous arcades, is the infamous of the “Chinese Joint” (no, seriously on one knows what it’s called) at Port Phillip Arcade. Through the authentic creperie and sushi establishment lays best bang for your...

Don't.
he-is-she-is-he:
Don’t like gay marriage? Don’t get one.
Don’t like abortions? Don’t get one.
Don’t like drugs? Don’t do them.
Don’t like sex? Don’t have it.
Don’t like your rights taken away? Don’t take away anybody elses.

Café Vue at 401
The Vue name is synonymous with many. Elegant, expensive, experimental, “what the shiznit”, but ever since the many Cafe Vue’s have been appearing around Melbourne, you can add a new one, somewhat casual. (Also note on the photos, this is around the same time as I discovered that “HOMG TAKING PICTURES SIDEWAYS MAKES IT LOOK COOL” brace for repetitive settings).

NY #1: Artichoke Basilles Pizza & Shake Shack
So recently me and my good friend Alex went to a trip to New York City. These are our stories food, love and betrayal. I hope you enjoy them.
Artichoke Basilles Pizza
Have you ever had something that just completely makes you go “DAMN IT” because it’s so damn good? You’re saying this because of several different reasons. Reason #1: Why is my stomach so small that I...
Brother Baba Budan
As you walk in the cramped little cafe down in the office side of town, you can’t help but notice the amount of chairs provided. Too bad they’re on the roof.
Brother Baba Budan (BBB) is named after the 17th century Sufi Baba Budan, who in legend brought the almighty coffee bean from Yemen to create the delicious beverage. Every day BBB would have a choice of two beans, one house...

Ichi Ni
Mmm. Keep these izakayas coming to Melbourne. The fad is strong, with 3 places popping up in the recent months all over the city. And places like Ichi Ni, En Izakaya, Maedaya are very good and the price is always decent for the quality of the food.
So me, dadster and a friend of his decide to go a quick after work bite, and this place never ceases to SAY-TIS-FY. The staff is very friendly...
Igloo Zoo
This place is awesome. This is my favourite combo:
and don’t say yours is better. This is the best. I was gonna take a picture, but I was too hungry.
But yeah, the yoghurt’s fairly healthy, low fat content, below average sugar, and it tastes really nice. And when you get pomegranate they give you about the amount of one whole fruit.
Dainty Sichuan
A revealing fact about this man-boy is that he is Indonesian. Indonesians are known for the fiery, spicy food and sambal. But I cannot take heat.
Sure I can take Nando’s extra hot chicken and dishes in japanese restaurants where they warn you that “this chicken is spicy”, but Szechuan cuisine is something else in itself. It’s hot, and filled with the spirited, pungent...

Aoba
This place opened like 3 weeks ago, but I have been there 6 times by today. This place is good, infact, damn good. Every dish is a BM, no joke and it’s very cheap, considering how FRESHH and tasty the dishes are. These pictures are a collection from the many times I’ve visited this joint, but please excuse they’re from the iPhone.

Dish #1: Salmon Chirashizushi...

Taxi Dining Room
Bang! Due to its price, location and often hit&miss food, Taxi is a very love/hate restaurant. Down at eatability the ratings fairly average due to these love (10/10 in everything) and hates (2/10 in everything). I decided to stuff Matteo’s and go here because, well I really felt like wagyu :D and apparently it is devine. I had fairly high expectations and well, some of it did exceed...
The FFYS Rating System
Before we get through to assessment of restaurants/cafes/brothels, we must first identify the diners and their usual orders.
#0: I would always research extensively (around 10 minutes) by viewing previous diners experiences and critic views to receive Best Meal. At the time of no guidance, eg. just walk into a joint, I always order the 9th thing on the menu. I receive BM about 1/2 the time.
